As the Chief Technology Officer (Field), Cybersecurity for Asia Pacific., Gareth is on a mission to protect customer data in a difficult world and to empower organisations and help navigate their cyber resilience journey.
Gareth’s prior experience include working for Standard Chartered in Singapore and Accenture in Australia, just to name a couple. He is an experienced cyber security leader with a strong track record in cyber strategy, risk management, driving cyber resilience and digital transformation. He is focused on helping organisations define and manage their cyber risk appetite to grow and achieve their business strategy while embedding cyber security into the organisational culture.
He has extensive experience and proven delivery of large scale global projects (onshore and offshore) within complex environments: including, agile software development, SecDevOps, Defendable Architecture and Cloud migration/adoption.
Accomplished Cyber Security Operations leader with a focus on creating and maintaining a resilient security posture. Proficient in orchestrating incident responses and implementing security automation to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of cyber security defenses.
Adept at leading cross-functional teams, he excels in developing robust security frameworks, mitigating cyber risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a cyber security thought leader and collaborator, he actively contributes to the cybersecurity community through speaking engagements and intriguing content to help train the next generation of cyber leaders.
